MediRevv Launches National Campaign to Eliminate School Lunch Debt

Company presented gifts totaling $15,000 touching more than 20 schools across three states

Coralville, IA – January 20, 2020 – MediRevv, an Iowa-based national healthcare revenue cycle management company, closed 2019 with a powerful $15,000-campaign helping eliminate outstanding school lunch balances. The annual effort touched more than 20 schools across three states (Iowa, California, and Nebraska—the company’s campus locations), and it fits into the organization’s ongoing corporate giving coordinated by Medirevv Gives, a committee of passionate employees leading charitable donations for the company.   

“When we choose where to direct our charitable donations, we first ask our employees what’s close to their hearts,” says veteran Giving Committee member and MediRevv’s director of brand Dana Gratton. “And year after year, our local school children overwhelmingly take presentence over any other cause."

Though MediRevv recognizes the immense financial deficit many students face in schools from coast to coast (averaging $2,500 in May 2019 report), the “why” behind this charitable donation goes well beyond just the numbers.

The “why” centers on the undeniable truth of the community’s need for healthy, happy, and growing children with enthusiasm, passion, and risk taking. MediRevv believes the community needs children asking why (and why not); it needs children inspired by possibility; and most importantly, it needs children to believe in the super power education brings.

In letter written by the Giving Committee to each school, they note: “We are truly delighted to share this holiday cheer with your children, your teachers, and your families—as MediRevvers from coast to coast have such love and appreciation for the impact our schools make on our children’s futures.”     

A team of MediRevv employees presented checks to school leaders prior to winter break, adding an enormous amount of joy to the ending of this year’s meal-debt story in school districts across the three states.

This campaign wrote the final chapter for MediRevv Gives in 2019—closing the year with donations totaling $100,000. In 2019, MediRevv also donated thousands of hours to the community through its Volunteer Time Off program, which allows both full-time and part-time employees paid-time off to make a difference in local organizations with their time, energy, and talents.
